The largest cities in Slovakia

No town in Slovakia has more than half a million inhabitants. The largest one is the capital Bratislava followed by East-Slovakia's metropolis Kosice. Below is a list of the largest towns with links to more information about them.

The first name in each line, starting with the largest town, is its official Slovak name. Next comes - in brackets - the name in its anglicised form (minus diacritics). Last of all we show the population figures in thousands, according to the latest census. Most of the information has been taken from the official websites of the respective towns. The link takes you to the English version of the town's official website, where available.
