No town in Slovakia has more than half a million inhabitants. The largest one is the capital Bratislava followed by East-Slovakia's metropolis Kosice. Below is a list of the largest towns with links to more information about them.
The first name in each line, starting with the largest town, is its official Slovak name. Next comes - in brackets - the name in its anglicised form (minus diacritics). Last of all we show the population figures in thousands, according to the latest census.
