Festival 'Podpolianske slavnosti' finished in Detva

The 39th traditional folk festival at Detva town in central Slovakia finished Sunday evening. Lasting three days, the 'Podpolianske slavnosti' festival included 11 main performances and 10 supporting ones with around 1,700 participants. Visitors could see children's folk groups and some of the most well established Slovak folk groups. There were also performances by groups of expatriate Slovaks, from the Czech republic, Hungary, Poland, France, Belgium and Australia.
