President celebrates canoeing medals in Athens

President Ivan Gasparovic was among the spectators celebrating Olympic medals hauled by Slovak whitewater canoeists at the Olympic Games in Athens - Helliniko on Wednesday. Kayaker Elena Kaliska won an Olympic gold in the women's K1, and Olympic canoe champion from Atlanta 1996 Michal Martikan defended his Sydney silver after judges penalised him controversially for touching one of the gates after a run which he won.
