Erbanova set Slovak olympic record

Slovakia's medal collection from the Olympic Games in Athens remains at six: two gold, one silver, and two bronze. Though Marcela Erbanova was close to win a third bronze medal for Slovakia in women's flatwater kayak K1 at 500 meters final on Saturday, she finally ended up fifth. The fifth place and two Olympic points for Slovakia is the biggest success of 26-year-old Erbanova. In addition, she set up Slovakia's women Olympic record in this category. The Olympic games in Athens became the most successful for Slovakia in its independent history.
