Settlement ruins found under Kia site

Fri 08 Oct 04, 15:19    RSI

Remains of a settlement from the 10-12th century have been unearthed at the site of the future KIA/Hyundai plant in Teplicka nad Vahom in northern Slovakia. Employees of the Slovak Academy of Sciences archaeological department will continue researching the site over the next few months. However, Kia’s project manager stressed that the finding would not delay the beginning of the plant’s buliding and that construction of the South Korean car-maker's facilities will start on October 15, 2004.
