Forty world library books to be sold in newsstands at discount prices

Wed 20 Oct 04, 14:09    RSI

Publishing house petit Press plans to sell more than one million books during a 40-week project SME World Library. The director general of the publishing house that publishes the SME daily, informed about the project on Monday. The SME World Library will consist of forty books written by prominent writers of the 20th century to be sold for discount prices. The aim of Petit Press is to sell about 25,000-30,000 copies of each of the books included into the project. The books will be mostly distributed on newsstands. Experiences from other countries with similar projects indicate that the sale of the books on subscription contracts should be significantly lower compared with the expected volume of sale on newsstands.
