Marcos Baghdatis wins Tatrabanka Open 2004

The surprising winner of the Tatrabanka Open 2004 tennis Challenger tournament was Marcos Baghdatis, from Cyprus. Number 205 in the world, he managed to defeat Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty, the best-ranked player in the tournament and number 14 in the ATP rankings. The former junior world champion Baghdatis managed to beat Hrbaty 7:6 and 7:6 on Sunday, winning a bonus of 14,300 euros and 80 points on the ATP ranking.
