Roma through their own eyes

A unique exhibition of photographs was opened in the town of Zilina, northern Slovakia. A collection named Roma Through Their Own Eyes was previously on display in Brussels and several other Belgian towns. Its author Nils Bijnens visited Roma settlements in Slovakia and gave disposable cameras to locals so that they could take pictures themselves. The photos are a better representation of everyday reality and are more spontaneous.
