Parliament revises law on genetically modified organisms in food

Parliament on Thursday approved an amendment to the law on genetically modified organisms in food. It regulates the import, export and transit of genetically modified organisms, which could negatively influence people and their living environment. The Environment Ministry will act as the national center for the trans-border movement of genetically modified organisms as well as biological security.
