Slovan Bratislava - Slovak hockey champion

Slovan Bratislava beat Zvolen 3:1 in the very last match of the best-of-seven series of the Slovakia's ice-hockey premier league Extraliga on Saturday in Zvolen. This is the 5th title for the Bratislava team. After the long seven matches series they beat Zvolen 4:3. Slovak has thus become the most successful team in the history of the independent national league. They met with Zvolen for the third time in the final. The only time Zvolen became the Slovak ice hockey champion was in the 2000-2001 season when they did not meet with Slovan Bratislava.
