High Tatras on fire

Mon 30 May 05, 16:36    RSI

A part of the High Tatras national park forest caught fire on Saturday. Fire fighters from the town of Poprad have been fighting the fire all Monday. About 1 hectare of non-processed wood caught fire amounting to a loss of up to EUR 1500. The reason behind the damage is allegedly careless use of an open fire. Due to the hot dry weather, open fires in nature have been banned.
