Securing and clearing works continue in 4 Slovak villages after floods

Tue 14 Jun 05, 18:59    RSI

Thanks to the sunny weather, securing and cleaning works proceeded in four villages in the Humenne district (Kosice region) that were hard hit by storms on Sunday night. The floods occurred in east Slovakia due to strong rains. The most critical situation was in the districts of Sabinov, Bardejov, and Kezmarok all in the Presov region, as well as in Orava (Zilina region). Local streams will have to be cleared of debris in these areas. The Slovak Red Cross will provide humanitarian aid to inhabitants of the areas affected.
