Motivational scholarships introduced

From the beginning of the next academic year, meaning from September 2005, university students will be eligible for motivational scholarships. These will be granted to students with exceptional educational results. Parliament approved this move on Wednesday when the higher education draft bill amendment was passed. The universities themselves will set the criteria for the scholarships. Finances required for the scholarships will be allocated from the state budget.
