Slovakia defeats Germany 2:0

Slovakia's national football team defeated Germany 2:0 in the international friendly match in Bratislava on Saturday. Both goals were scored in the first half of the match. The scorer Miroslav Karhan is a midfield player of the Wolfsburg team, a German premiere league participant. The victory over the vice champions of the world increased the hopes of the Slovak national team ahead of an important duel in the 3rd qualification group for the 2006 World Championships. Slovakia will play Latvia in Riga on Wednesday.
