Thu 08 Sep 05, 08:32 • RSIAfter a 60 year absence a German elementary school has made its return to Bratislava in September. The school opened its doors on Tuesday thanks to support from the German Education Association. One of the school founders Egon Friebus is especially proud that the school managed to open after only six months' preparation. They only misjudged the number of pupils that wished to enroll in the school. "More than 90 percent of our students are Slovaks," explained Friebus. Thus the Slovak as well as the German language will be heard within the school's premises. So far the school offers nursery and primary education. Primary school pupils number only five; however, the nursery has registered 30 children.
