Fico still on top

Chairman of the opposition party SMER-Social Democracy Robert Fico remains the most trusted politician in Slovakia, shows an early September public opinion poll conducted by the Statistic Office's Institute for Public Opinion Research. He enjoys the trust of 29.1 percent of Slovak citizens.President Ivan Gasparovic follows with a 14.9-percent trust. The third most trustworthy politician was the leader of the Hungarian Coalition Party Bela Bugar with 9-percent trust. Prime Minister and Slovak Democratic and Christian Union leader Mikulas Dzurinda is trusted by 4.4 percent.
