Tourists from sunk boat in Danube will return home

Tue 04 Oct 05, 17:25    RSI

Nearly eighty tourists from Norway and Belgium, who were rescued from a burning Romanian cruise ship Oltenita sailing on the Danube on Sunday, are all right and will return home on Tuesday. The fire broke out near the village of Sap at Gabcikovo water reservoir on Sunday. Ambassadors of both countries informed that none of the tourists had to be taken into hospital, however, they needed medical aid. The passengers were mostly pensioners, some of whom needed medicines lost on board. The tourists did not have any difficulties getting new travel documents thanks to cooperation with Slovak police, and extra clothes were also provided for the tourists. One female singer died in the incident.
