Slovaks disagree with EU stand on Turkey

Wed 05 Oct 05, 17:55    RSI

Slovaks want Croatia to become a member of the EU, but do not support the entry of Turkey to the Union, according to a survey carried out by Eurobarometer, which was published by the European Commission on Tuesday. The survey results follow hard on the heels of the launch of accession talks between the two countries and the EU. Almost three quartes of surveyed people gave a green light to Croatia, the highest figure among EU countries. However, only 37 percent of Slovaks support the admission of Turkey to the EU.
