As many as 100,000 people to work in automobile industry

After the completion of investment projects of the automotive industry at least 85,000 to 100,000 people are expected to find jobs within the industry, says the Economy Minister, Jirko Malcharek at the Co-Ma-Tech Automotive 2005 conference. As he further stated, Slovakia together with the Czech Republic became a center for the automobile production. Not long now, Slovakia will become an automobile empire. Alongside the already functioning Volkswagen car plant in Bratislava, new production plant belonging to PSA Peugeot Citroen in Trnava will produce as many as 300,000 cars a year. Also, Kia near Zilina will produce at least 200,000 cars a year. The minister is getting ready for creating a new position of a coordinator of the automobile industry.
