Czech and Slovak ties strengthen

Mon 24 Oct 05, 19:32    RSI

On Monday Czech Foreign Minister Cyril Svoboda met Slovak Parliamentary chairman Pavol Hrusovsky. The subject of their talks was the free movement of people. In May 2006, the EU will review temporary measures that pre-enlargement EU member states have introduced to restrict the employment rights of citizens of new EU countries. Svoboda also asked Hrusovsky to make efforts to ensure that Slovakia continues to support the Belarussian Opposition. Hrusovsky agreed that it is necessary for the Belarussian Opposition to be supported by all Visegrad 4 countries including Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
