Bratislava Jazz Days finished

Mon 24 Oct 05, 19:40    RSI

The renowned “Bratislava Jazz Days” festival ended in the Slovak capital on Sunday. Pee Wee Ellis, the American tenor saxophonist who helped James Brown "invent" funk, was the Saturday night finale with his band Assembly for Day 2. Together with musicians younger by a generation or two, Ellis served up some authentic funk and many other musical genres. The 31st annual Bratislava Jazz Days were finished by relaxed acoustic jazz duo Tok Tok Tok from Germany, multimedia show by French experimentalists Sayag Jazz Machine, Japanese-American pianist Hiromi's Trio, and one of the best salsa groups in the world, the mammoth Spanish Harlem orchestra.
