SARIO has a new boss

Thu 27 Oct 05, 07:59    RSI

Czechinvest founder and long-time head Jan Amos Havelka will replace Roman Kuruc as the head of Slovakia's investments agency SARIO, Economy Minister Jirko Malcharek said on Tuesday. Earlier in that day Malcharek sacked Kuruc for failing to carry out Government decisions concerning the investment of Swiss company Sky Media, putting at stake tens of millions of crowns from the state's coffers. Malcharek views the work of SARIO, which has had six directors in seven years, as inefficient in working with investors active in Slovakia. Havelka will unveil his action plan for SARIO next week.
