Levice tries to replace Hankook with smaller investors

Thu 03 Nov 05, 08:06    RSI

Levice mayor Stefan Misak considers the fact that Slovakia lost approximately 513 million euro investment to have destroyed the work of people who were for several months preparing conditions for this strategic investor. He said Levice couldn’t replace such an investment by substituting a few smaller investors as they wouldn't fit into the existing industrial park. Hankook would have created as many as 1,600 jobs in Levice. Currently, a company called Nefab from Sweden operates in the town's industrial park. Another four companies are expected to join.
