Former Minister Rusko loses his TV station

Central European Media Enterprises announced on its web site on Monday that it has made a contract with its three partners in Slovakia on acquiring a controlling share in TV Markiza and increasing its stake in the company to 80 percent. The remaining minority shares remain in the hands of two individuals. As a consequence former Minister of Economy Pavol Rusko who owned some shares in the TV station and used to be its General Manager lost his influence over the company. TV Markiza, has the highest ratings in Slovakia.
