Slovakia sets example for Croatia's EU accession

Sun 06 Nov 05, 21:08    RSI

According to Croatian President Stipe Mesic, Slovakia could become the best example to follow for Croatia as it begins its accession into the European Union. At Thursday's meeting with Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic, Mesic appreciated Slovakia's rapid integration into the EU. Currently, Croatia is cooperating intensely with Slovak experts on the accession negotiations that began last month, Mesic said. Gasparovic, whose ancestors come from Croatia, has assured his Croatian counterpart of Slovakia's full support for Croatia's EU integration efforts as well as NATO.
