Remembrance Day ceremony takes place in Bratislava

Tue 15 Nov 05, 08:49    RSI

War veterans, official representatives and relatives on Sunday remembered soldiers who were killed in two world wars and other conflicts with a minute's silence. The ceremony took place at the Memorial to WWII Western-Front Veterans in Bratislava with around 100 people attending. It was organised by the Slovak defence ministry in co-operation with the British embassy in Bratislava. The ceremony was held to commemorate Remembrance Day, which has been observed in Slovakia since 2001 on the first Sunday following November 11.
