Construction industry booming this year

Wed 16 Nov 05, 08:22    RSI

The construction industry in Slovakia is currently enjoying its fastest growth since the immediate post-WWII era, and the country's industrialisation drive in the second half of the 20th century, SME daily reports. A closer look into the statistics reveals that the production of construction companies in Slovakia for the first three quarters of 2005 increased by 17 percent year-on-year, reaching Sk81 billion (2.08 billion). This is especially thanks to government contracts and EU funds designated for highway construction.
