Labor Office helps unemployed to finish basic school education

The National Labor Office and the Education Ministry plan to continue a pilot project offering the registered unemployed a chance to complete basic school education. The project will involve nine labor offices and 240 job applicants. Total project costs could amount to approximately 600,000 Euro. At present more than 14, 000 people who are registered unemployed in Slovakia did not complete compulsory basic school. The project was carried out for the first time last year when 140 job applicants, from five labor offices and six schools took part.
