Politicians celebrate fall of Communism

Mon 21 Nov 05, 12:28    RSI

On Thursday, many Slovak politicians including President Ivan Gasparovic and Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrusovsky attended a ceremony commemorating victims of political repression in the communist era at Ruzinovsky Cintorin Cemetery in Bratislava. Hrusovsky conveyed his regret that young people have only little knowledge of what happened sixteen years ago. November 1989 was a colossal break, which enabled Slovakia to get from one world into a completely different world, said Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda.
