Ministry drafts a bill to cope with potential flu pandemic

Mon 21 Nov 05, 12:28    RSI

Ministry of Health responded to the increased risk of a flu pandemic by drafting a bill that should help it cope with the situation when the time comes. According to the ministry, although a pandemic is a more serious emergency than war, there is no law in the Slovak Republic's legal system to address this topic. Measures proposed in the new draft bill aim to minimize impacts of flu pandemic on the population, economic and public life. If parliament approves this bill, it should come into force from January next year.
