Figel: European Union has more European spirit than before

The European Union has more European spirit at the moment. It is more deeply based on its basic values and principles, rather than on business, geographic or economic factors. This information was provided by Jan Figel, the EU Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Multilingualism, in an evaluation of European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso's year-long leadership of the European Commission. Figel pointed out that it's the first time in the EU's history that each country is represented by a commissioner.
