Largest economic summit this year begins in Bratislava

The 8th annual Economic Forum of the Central European Initiative (CEI) was opened in Bratislava on Wednesday with Slovak Economy Minister Jirko Malcharek in attendance. The CEI includes 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. This year the CEI presidency is being held by Slovakia. The main theme of the two-day event is reforms as the key to European competitiveness, with particular stress on energy, infrastructure and human resources.
