Mecir satisfied with preparations for Davis Cup tennis final

Wed 30 Nov 05, 09:48    RSI

On Monday non-playing captain of the Slovak Davis Cup tennis team Miroslav Mecir expressed his satisfaction with the preparation of Slovakia's team for the Davis Cup final against Croatia set for December 2-4 in Bratislava. The four Slovak players (Dominik Hrbaty, Karol Beck, Karol Kucera and Michal Mertinak) have been training for the match since Saturday. "I'm satisfied, so far. Kucera and Beck have been training for 14 days, while Hrbaty for a week. Mertinak joined them on Saturday, because he had been at a tournament in Prague. All of them are very conscientious in their preparation, and the conditions are excellent. I hope that will get in the groove at the right time," Mecir said.
