National Security Law to address the danger of a flu pandemic

The Health Ministry believes that the consequences of an influenza pandemic may cause a crisis and seriously endanger internal security of the country. To cope with this situation it will be necessary to announce a state of emergency across the country or only in some regions. To address this situation, the Cabinet approved a draft revision to the constitutional law on national security, which will also enable announcing a state of emergency in the event of an influenza pandemic.
