Christian democrats ready to leave coalition if corruption corroborated

Wed 28 Dec 05, 09:29    RSI

According to the Christian Democrats and Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Hrusovsky, the Co-ruling Christian Democrats still do not rule out that their party will leave the coalition if political corruption is proven to have taken place. The party's definitive statement will be known if and when such proof emerges, Hrusovsky added. "We're waiting for the results of the ongoing investigation," Hrusovsky explained, with respect to the scandal around the video-tape. In this tape the Alliance of New Citizen leader Pavol Rusko and MP Iveta Henzelyova allegedly discussed the fact that she had been offered some incentives in exchange for her support for the coalition.
