Universities produce 1000 new lawyers every year

Tue 14 Feb 06, 08:15    RSI

The number of new lawyers increases. According to the recent prognosis, another 8,198 students will graduate at the Slovak law universities during next five years, reads Sme daily. This number is higher than the current number of judges, prosecutors, barristers, executors and other law experts. Jozef Prusak, the dean of Trnava Law Faculty warns around 1,000 Slovaks study law at foreign universities. So the Law Universities together 'produces' hundreds of new lawyers each year. But the question is if the society is able to 'absorb' so many layers. Experts warns that the need for new lawyers will gradually fall.
