Pado: Voting to take place on only one day

Thu 16 Feb 06, 16:52    RSI

Elections to the Slovak Parliament called for June 17 will be held according to a completely new law, which reduces the time available for voting from two days to just one, Interior Minister Martin Pado said on Thursday. The voting will be simpler in terms of arrangements, financing and fairness. Another change enables Slovak citizens to vote by postal ballot. Voting by post has been the subject of discussions between the ministry of transport, post and telecommunications, the foreign affairs ministry and postal services operator Slovak Post.
