Prime Minister Dzurinda in the White House

Tue 14 Mar 06, 08:39    RSI

Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda met U.S. President George Bush on Monday as part of his visit to the U.S.A. This visit just three months before the general election in Slovakia demonstrates the good relationship between the two politicians, and is a reward for the support Dzurinda has shown for American foreign policy, Sme daily reports. For Dzurinda, the most important item on the agenda is the cancellation of the visa regime imposed on Slovaks wanting to travel to the U.S.A. Bush is unable to cancel visas for Slovaks, however. Other politicians from central-European countries have been pushing for the same thing.
