Coach of the Golden Team Resigns

Jan Filc, the coach who led the national Ice-Hockey team to the first post-1992 World Championship title in 2002 resigned today to his post, daily SME informed (in Slovak only). Filc will "go out with his dog more often and spend more time with his computer. However, [he] will keep staying in touch with ice-hockey." The duo Frantisek Hossa and Jan Sterbak will take his place in the national team.
