Fri 09 May 03, 20:52    RSI

The Slovak national ice hockey team beat Switzerland 3:1 in the quarterfinal match at the Ice Hockey World Championship on Wednesday. Frantisek Hossa, the manager of the Slovak team spoke to journalists in Helsinki after the match. Commenting the match, Miroslav Satan who scored two goals said "we knew the Swiss will play a similar style of ice hockey as the Germans. After their first goal it took quite some time till we returned into the game. In critical moments we managed to be a good team and we won. We are now playing for a medal and I promise to whole Slovakia that we will do our best." On Friday evening, Slovaks will meet Swedes in the semifinal match.
