Vlado told us about an interesting article at Yahoo! News (story by Simon Cambers) about "the tall, stylish 19-year-old, who won the first WTA tour singles title of her career at Indian Wells this year" Daniela Hantuchova.
"I've had a really exciting year, everything has been incredible for me," Hantuchova said. "But winning the Fed Cup would be a really perfect way for me to end the year."
Daniela plays the second final match against Magui Serna tonight.
Update (Sat 19:30): Hantuchova beated Serna 6-2 and 6-1 and tied the final match to 1-1.
Update (Sun 20:30): Hantuchova beated Conchita Martinez 6-7, 7-5 and 6-4 and Slovakia is leading 2-1 to Spain.
Update (Sun 22:30): Husarova beated Sanchez-Vicario 6-0 and 6-2 and Slovakia is leading 3-1 to Spain. The team of Slovakia won the Federation Cup for the first time (Czechoslovakia won the cup 4 times since 1963). Congratulations!
