Slovak sportsmen successful at World Water sports

Slovak swimmer Martina Moravcova won a silver medal in 200 m freestyle at the 10th World Championships in swimming sports in Barcelona. She also won a bronze in the 100 m butterfly. Michal Martikan won the gold medal at the Canoe World Championships in Ausburg, Germany. The Slovak team of Martikan, Mincik and Slafkovsky became world champions in the team competition. The brothers Hochorners gained a bronze medal for Slovakia in the two-man competition.
