I. Mutual visa abolition

No visa necessary for citizens of the listed countries traveling to visit Slovakia. No visa necessary for Slovaks visiting listed countires.

II. Unilateral visa abolition

Visa necessary only for Slovaks traveling to the USA, Canada, the UK, etc.
US, Canadian, UK (and other listed) nationals do not visa to enter Slovakia.
In case of Costa Rica and Ecuador is the situation reversed.

Holders of the refugee's travel document "Travel Document - Convention of 28 July 1951", are subject of the same visa treatment as the nationals of the country of their nationality.

The nationals of all the countries not listed in any of the above categories are requested to check the conditions for obtaining the visa with the Embassy or Consulate General of the Slovak Republic accredited in the country of their residence, and obtain the visa prior to their arrival in the Slovak Republic.

Conditions for EU, U.S. and Canadian nationals should not change frequently. To be absolutely sure, please visit Slovakia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the nearest Embassy or Consulate General of Slovakia for more updated information.
